Your Legal Requirements;

If you knowingly allow an employee under the influence of excess alcohol or drugs to continue working and this places the employee or others at risk, you could be prosecuted.

You may also be at risk of prosecution under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 if an employee is found in possession of large quantities of drugs on your site with intent to supply and steps have not been taken to manage it legally.

The Transport and Works Act 1992 makes it a criminal offence for certain workers to be unfit through drink and/or drugs while working on railways, tramways and other guided transport systems. The operators of the transport system would also be guilty of an offence unless they had shown all due diligence in trying to prevent such an offence being committed.

The least intrusive method of drug screening, by far. No handling of urine, no handling of saliva, no chewing on swab cubes, no waiting for donors to give a sample, no retests, no same-sex supervision, no biohazardous waste disposal.

Unrivalled efficiency. Due to the lack of preparation time, no retests, sweat being ever-present in everyone, all the time. The capability to test up to 6 individuals in a realistic, real-world time of 20 minutes, the cost of our solution cannot be beaten.

Full control, from start to finish. An ever-present deterrent that can be deployed as soon as you feel there is cause, can deliver totally random tests when you feel necessary and is instantly ready in the case of an incident or near miss. Our back-to-lab process means you can manage the whole process from end to end.

Random programme. The best way to implement a deterrent in a business. Typical levels of testing to create that deterrent would be ~15% of the workforce, every quarter. That would equate to up to 60% of the workforce being tested every year. The HSE love random testing, as this is part of their 'doing everything reasonably practicable' to keep a workforce safe, in the context of drug and alcohol testing.

Pre-employment. A great way to remove risk from a business, before it even lands. More and more businesses are conducting drug screening as part of an induction process.

Post incident or near miss. Mostly used to eliminate substance imapairment as an affecting factor in workplace incidents. Only really feasible with an in-house solution, like ours.

'For cause'. Essentially, this id when an organisation suspects substance use due to indicators such as smell, change in behaviour, physical changes (bloodshot eyes etc) or reports of use from employees.
